We kindly ask members to cover credit card transaction fees. You may choose to contribute any amount to promote the safe and beneficial use of prescribed fire in Minnesota. Suggested contribution: $35. Thank you for your support!

Q. Why join MN-PFC?
Active members enjoy voting rights at MN-PFC meetings and access to our annual conference. Membership dues support ongoing efforts to sustain Minnesota's fire-adapted ecosystems, educate the public, and advocate in public forums.
Q. How do I maintain "active" status?
To maintain an active membership, simply return to mnprescribedfire.org/membership once a year and complete the form. The suggested annual contribution is $35.
Q. When does my membership expire?
MN-PFC memberships run on a calendar-year basis and expire on December 31 each year. In other words, if you pay your dues on December 30, your membership expires the next day. Calendar-year memberships keep things simple and make MN-PFC easier to administer, so we can focus on our mission.
Q. Who can become a member?
We welcome everyone who supports the stewardship of Minnesota’s fire-adapted ecosystems. MN-PFC members include researchers, land managers, practitioners, supporters, and community leaders.
Q. Why contribute more than the suggested amount?
MN-PFC relies, above all, on the time and sweat equity contributed by our members. We welcome any financial contribution above and beyond our suggested annual dues. Your dollars represent a significant measure of support for efforts to sustain Minnesota ecosystems that need beneficial fire to thrive.
Q. Is my membership tax-deductible?
Members who contribute exactly $35 do not qualify for a tax deduction because one of the benefits of membership is access to our annual conference. Contributions of more than $35 may be partially tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor. Minnesota Prescribed Fire Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Q. Can I become a member without a financial contribution?
MN-PFC welcomes members who do not wish to make a financial contribution; if that's you, please use the contact page to send us a message and ask to become a member. You are also welcome to join our mailing list without becoming a member.
